REFLEXES 101
Reflexes 101 gives a brief overview of Sensory Motor Amnesia and the three pathological processes by which it occurs, namely the Landau Reflex, the Trauma Reflex, and the Startle Reflex. The movement patterns are designed to address the muscular contractions held involuntarily and unconsciously as a result of the habituation of each of these reflexes. Movement re-education can help one overcome Sensory Motor Amnesia, thus rejuvenating the spine, restoring agility to the hips, and reactivating health to the shoulders and neck.

'Carol Welch and her crew did an excellent presentation of the Thomas Hanna Somatics information. The concepts were easily understandable through the use of vivid graphics and animation. I would recommend this video to a number of people. It is accessible, applicable and appropriate for any audience: practitioners, students or novices.'

Included are movements for the health of the joints of the hips, knees, and ankles, as well as cyclic motions that serve to integrate the use of balance between weight, intention, and direction.

'The goal of this DVD is to teach how to restore and preserve health through movement and imagery using sensory-motor learning. Massage therapists, dance, tai chi, yoga and fitness instructors will find this video intellectually provocative and full of sensory-motor movement exercises to explore and use with clients and in classes.'
